Thai Language, Culture and History

MISB ensures that students develop respect for the host country and an understanding of Thailand’s language, culture, history, and traditions in line with the principles of the Cambridge International curriculum. Thai language is delivered as a structured and timetabled subject, supporting students’ linguistic development and cultural awareness.

Curricular learning is complemented by planned co-curricular experiences, including cultural events, traditional Thai dance and music, national celebrations, and community-based activities. These are integrated across year groups and are evident in school assemblies, themed learning programmes, and the Annual Day celebrations.

This coherent approach supports Cambridge learner attributes by fostering confidence, responsibility, reflection, innovation, and engagement. Students are encouraged to appreciate local heritage while developing international mindedness, ensuring they become respectful, culturally aware global citizens within the Thai context.
