MISB cambridge lower secondary programme

The Cambridge Lower Secondary programme supports learners in developing strong academic foundations, independence, and critical thinking during the middle years of schooling. Students study a broad and balanced curriculum including English / Global English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, Thai, Physical Education, Art and Design, and Digital Literacy, along with the option to choose one or more foreign languages such as Hindi, Punjabi, Mandarin, and Japanese. Teaching is thoughtfully differentiated to meet diverse learning needs, ensuring appropriate challenge and support for every learner. Emphasis is placed on inquiry, collaboration, and application of knowledge across subjects. In Year 9, students appear for the Cambridge Checkpoint examinations, conducted under structured school guidance and preparation, providing valuable international benchmarks and a smooth transition to the Cambridge IGCSE programme.
